1. Laboratory Introduction
Ship Maneuverability Laboratory is a comprehensive laboratory for teaching and scientific research in the specialty of ship and ocean engineering. The laboratory uses an area of more than 400m2, 29 sets of various instruments and equipment, with a total asset value of 2,274,734,000 RMB. The main equipment of the laboratory is: medium-sized horizontal type circulating water tank, vertical plane motion mechanism, data acquisition and processing system.
2. Experimental capability
The use of circulating water tank can do a variety of surface ship model resistance, propulsion, maneuverability test and propeller model open water experiments; vertical plane movement mechanism can be determined by a variety of submarine model hydrodynamic coefficient.
The laboratory is mainly responsible for undergraduate "ship propulsion", "ship maneuverability" teaching experimental tasks, but also bear the master's degree and doctoral thesis of the experimental tasks, and at the same time to undertake a number of national key pre-research, basic research scientific research tasks.
