The 2012 International Conference on Maritime Technology was held at Harbin Engineering University HEU from June 25th to 28th, 2012. More than 120 participants from 14 countries and regions including China, the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Spain, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Greece, France, Japan, South Korea and Malaysia attended the meeting. Among them, 34 were form abroad. The conference was co-organized by the College of Shipbuilding Engineering and the College of Power and Energy Engineering. A wide range of topics were covered at the conference, such as green ship technology, shipbuilding engineering, marine engineering systems, offshore engineering, marine environment, and renewable ocean energy. The conference was chaired by Professor Duan Wenyang, an expert of marine hydrodynamics of HEU.
From July 7th to 9th, 2014, the 2nd International Conference on Maritime Technology was held at University of Strathclyde. The conference was co-sponsored by HEU and the University of Strathclyde. More than 100 experts and scholars of naval architecture, marine engineering from 15 countries and regions including China, Britain and Germany participated, and 18 of them were form HEU. The main topics were high-tech ships, offshore engineering, marine engineering mechanics, renewable energy, etc. Professor Duan Wenyang made a keynote speech at the conference.
