The number of fund projects amounts to 22, (one of them in charged by Prof Li Ye obtained NSFC and Shandong jointly support fund), that number ranks the first in this Uni. and the appropriated fund amounts to 12.43 million yuen, being prominent in the field of Ocean-engineering in regards of number and approved rate, laying firm basis for the development of 1st-rank Marine and Ocean-engineering Specialty.

In recent 3 years, this college has got 69 National Natural Sci. Foundation Projects approved, 23 for each year, in which, 7 are of Key Projects, exceeding the total of “The 12th 5-year-plan”. A research system framework has been fabricated, synergizing the funds of NSFC and that from various ministries, that will play significant roles in raising fundamental research level, specialty construction and development, cultivating excellent talents, especially the young ones.
