The globally first numerical tank--China Numerical Tank Virtual Test System V1.0 is jointly developed by HEU and the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation(CSIC) 702 Research and Development Institute, and has passed the domestic and international certification of China Classification Society and French BV Classification Society. It was globally released on the first day of the 2017 China International Maritime Technology Conference and Exhibition of at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
The marine equipment design technology based on numerical simulation is the core technology of intelligent design and an innovative method and development trend of the international advanced marine equipment industry. With four years of demonstration, planning, researching, development and verification, Chinese numerical tank virtual simulation system V1.0 is finally successfully developed. The National Digital Tank innovation elite group has been founded by HEU, CSIC 702, CSSC 708, Shanghai Ship and Transportation Science Research Institute, Dalian University of Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University and China Classification Society in 2014, and which forged the international research resources of French classification society, the French Nantes Central University of Technology, the United States TechnipFMC company, the University of California in Berkeley, Japan Kyushu University and other universities. V1.0 breaks the space limitation of the real pool experiment and builds an advanced cloud service and a new simulation platform for ship and offshore engineering equipment innovations. It supports virtual tests for the hydrodynamic response process of ships and marine structures in different marine environments and globally provides new internet virtual testing services with high efficiency, quality and reliability for industry.
