The seventh generation of ultra-deep water drilling platform (ship) innovation special

September 25, 2018

The seventh-generation ultra-deep water drilling platform is costing nearly US$700 million, with a working water depth of 3,658 meters, a drilling depth of 15,250 meters, and a variable load of 10,000 tons. It is currently the most advanced in China and the world and can adapt toall working environments except Norway's north sea.

The Advanced Technology Research Center of the Deep Sea Platform aims at the key scientific problems encountered in the design of the platform, aiming at the entry point, based on the ship and sea mechanics, pre-arranged, developing the failure data of the drilling platform, comparing the wave resistance and the large opening of the moonpool, and testing Hydrodynamic performance and the effect of waves on the performance of the drilling ship, providing data support and technical support for risk analysis and safe operation of the platform.
