1. Laboratory Introduction

Marine CAD/CAM Laboratory is a key laboratory at the ministerial level, which is subordinate to the National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center for Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, and is a research base for the development of ship CAD/CAM/CIMS technology as well as a teaching and training base. The laboratory is equipped with more than 200 sets of high-grade microcomputers, 5 workstations, 4 servers, as well as a variety of internationally advanced marine CAD/CAM/PDM, visual simulation, structural calculation, structural analysis, fluid analysis and management software, such as TRIBON M1, CADDS5, CATIA.V5, VEGA, ANSYS, NASTRAN, AUTOSHIP, CFSTRAN, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP, AUTOSHIP. V5, VEGA, ANSYS, NASTRAN, AUTOSHIP, CFX, FLUENT, SPAR, etc. The laboratory now has a variety of functions of multimedia classrooms, postgraduate computer rooms and experimental centers totaling 10, including a professional software training classroom that can accommodate 80 people at the same time on the computer, experimental equipment and facilities, experimental teaching effect is good.

2. Laboratory capacity

The main tasks undertaken by the laboratory are experimental teaching, ship design and software development for undergraduate students of the college.

The experiment lessons include computer-aided ship design and manufacturing, ship production design, ship and marine structure construction, ship and marine platform design principles, ship overall design optimization (ISIGHT), etc., with a total of 16 experimental projects and 96 credit hours.

In recent years, the laboratory has undertaken research on key technologies of digital shipbuilding integrated data platform, development of real-time simulation system for six-degree-of-freedom motion of simulator, simulation research on crew escape process and development of embedded simulation training system, etc. The laboratory has been involved in a number of national defense pre-research projects, various types of basic research projects and experimental research on major national special projects, and has accumulated a wealth of experience in the field of digital shipbuilding technology as well as ship simulation and emulation technology. The laboratory has accumulated rich experience in digital shipbuilding technology and ship simulation technology.
