International Innovation and Cooperation in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Alliance (ICNAME) was co-founded by Harbin Engineering University (China), Dalian University of Science and Technology (China), State Marine Technical University of St Petersburg (Russia), Bureau Veritas (France), Ecole Centrale Nantes (France), and China Classification Society (China). Among them, Harbin Engineering University was the primary founder, and the other parties were participants. ICNAME, registered as a non-governmental organization, endeavors to research, exchange, and dissCng extensive cooperation and boosting the development of science and technology.
Purposes
To confront the technical challenges in exploiting ocean resources, the international organization for innovation and cooperation of naval architecture and marine engineering was founded, concentrating on the topics of digitization, networking, intelligence, automation, and green shipping, to create a global hub for top-tier universities, institutes and companies to collaborate and exchange. By promoting scientific research, talent cultivation, technological application, and sharing of resources through collaborative efforts on an international scale, it aims to promote common growth of its members and advance international innovation in ship and ocean engineering technologies.
