Introduction to the Laboratory
The Integrated Test Water Tank is the main experimental research equipment of the Key Laboratory of Underwater Robotics Technology at Harbin Engineering University. The layout of the water tank laboratory is rectangular, with the first floor serving as the area for model preparation and the second floor as the water tank test area. The water tank is a wide and deep tank equipped with large-scale specialized hydrodynamic test equipment such as an X-Y traverse system, multi-directional wave-making system, and local flow generation device.
Experimental Capabilities
The water tank has the functions of a wave endurance tank, maneuverability tank, and ocean engineering tank, which can be used for model tests and research on ship wave endurance, maneuverability, maneuverability in waves, and ocean engineering. In addition, the test environment of the water tank can provide a physical simulation and debugging environment for the control, collision avoidance, planning, operation, and special maneuvers of marine carriers. In recent years, the water tank has undertaken various experimental projects, including FPSO model tests for CNOOC's Enping Oilfield, SSCV model tests for CIMC Group, and dynamic positioning model tests for the 981 platform, accumulating rich experimental experience.
