From May 28th to 30th, 2013, the "2013 International Conference for Innovation and Cooperation of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering" was held in Harbin. 150 participants from HEU and more than 60 experts of naval architecture and ocean engineering from other 19 universities, enterprises and research institutes of China, Britain, France, Australia and other countries and regions attended the meeting. Among them, 11 were representatives from abroad.
ICNAME2013 was co-sponsored by Harbin Engineering University (HEU) and the Deepwater Engineering and Ship Technology Collaborative Innovation Centre. The aims of the conference were to act as a strategic role in improving the independent innovation capability of the industry, to integrate naval architecture and ocean engineering disciplines, and to promote international exchanges in the field of marine engineering technology.
The meeting was hosted by the College of Shipbuilding Engineering of HEU. The hot topics and the latest advances in the field of naval architecture and ocean engineering were addressed and discussed in the keynote speeches and session reports The view was shared in concord that the numerical tank and environmentally friendly technologies, will, in the coming years, become the focus of scientific and technological research in the field of the naval architecture and ocean engineering.
An agreement was also signed by the participants on the alliance of naval architecture and ocean engineering innovation and cooperation.
