Prof. Guo Chunyu from the College of Shipbuilding Engineering was entitled The Excellent Teacher of Heilongjiang Province of 2019.

Over the past 16 years, Prof. Guo Chunyu has actively carried out reforms and innovations in experimental teaching methods, and has won the Second Prize for National Teaching Achievement once, the Second Prize for Provincial Teaching Result once, and the Second Prize for the School’s Experimental Teaching Reform and Experimental Technology Research Result once.

He also creatively put forward a new model of scientific and technological innovation in universities, namely the “scientific and technological innovation by the undergraduates—scientific research experiment integrating into teaching—national scientific research project application”, and he has cultivated a large number of talents in high-level experimental technology, as well as in scientific and technological innovation in China’s marine industry.

He aims at “cultivating the first-class engineering broad-minded, well-educated, capable, well-behaved, and patriotic talents in the field of marine and marine engineering.” He has trained more than 50 doctoral and postgraduate students in total.
