The Talent Affair Coordination Panel Office of the Central Government officially made public the List of Leading Personnel of the Third Batch of “Ten-thousand-Talents Plan” on Dec 28th . Professor Zhang Arman was selected in it.

Professor Zhang Arman, doctoral supervisor, an Education Ministry Young Scholar in the Changjiang Scholars Award Program. His research fields involve underwater explosion, bubble dynamics and fluid-solid coupling dynamics. He toke charge and joined in more than 40 projects, such as key project of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Defense 973 sub-project, project for Innovation Special Zone of Science and Technology from Military Commission. Prof Zhang had been awarded quite some academic honors, such as the First Batch of Young Scholar in the Changjiang Scholars Program, the First Group of Young Top Talent Support Program of the Central Organization Department (Ten-thousand Talents Project), the First Excellent Youth Science Foundation, National 100 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Nominee Award, Huo Yingdong’s Young Teachers Fund, the second prize for Huo Yingdong Young Teachers, Special Invited Professor of Longjiang Scholars and Heilongjiang Provincial Outstanding Youth Science Foundation. His achievements in scientific research resultedin one Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, two provincial and ministerial level Scientific and Technological Progress Prizes, and eight S & T Progress Prizes. He has been granted more than 20 patents for invention, compiled two books, published more than 80 SCI papers, being cited by SCI over 500 times. He held the post of the expert of the Natural Science Foundation of China, National Award Evaluation expert, associate director of the Fifth Youth Science and Technology Committee of China Communications and Transportation Association, professional group member of meshless and particle class methods in the 8th council of computational mechanics, Chinese Mechanics Society, visiting professor of “Institute of Fluid Physics, Chinese Academy of Engineering Physics”, editorial board member of “Journal of Hydrodynamics”, “Journal of Marine Science and Application”, “Ship Engineering” and “Chinese Journal of Ship Research”, young editor of “Experimental Fluid Mechanics” and “Acta Aerodynamics”.
