The 34th International Conference on the Discrete Simulation of Fluid Dynamics (DSFD 2025) will be held from July 3rd to 6th, 2025, in Harbin, China. This conference is hosted by Harbin Engineering University, marking the first time this event is being held in Northeast China. The International Conference on the Discrete Simulation of Fluid Dynamics (DSFD) was initiated in 1986 by Gary D. Doolen, Director of the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the United States. Since its inception, the conference has been successfully held 33 times and has become the premier international conference for researchers in this field. It is one of the most influential international conferences in computational fluid dynamics, particularly in areas such as the Lattice Boltzmann Method and Dissipative Particle Dynamics.

The theme of DSFD 2025 includes computational mechanics methods based on the Lattice Boltzmann Method, Dissipative Particle Dynamics, Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics, Molecular Dynamics, and Multi-Particle Collision Dynamics. The conference will facilitate academic exchanges and discussions on the mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, high-performance computing, and applications of discrete fluid algorithms in various fields such as interfacial phenomena, free-surface flows, micro- and nano-flows, compressible flows, heat and mass transfer, magnetohydrodynamics, porous media flows, and fluid-structure interactions.

This conference will bring together participants from computer science, physics, mathematics, chemistry, and many other disciplines. Strengthening academic exchanges among international peers will help promote interdisciplinary academic advancements, encourage young scholars in fluid dynamics to share cutting-edge developments, and significantly contribute to the advancement of the field of fluid dynamics.
