On March 20, a delegation from the Korean Register (KR), including Mr. PARK HOGYUN, Department Manager of ICT at KR Headquarters, and LI Guangri, Managing Director of KR China Plan Approval Center, visited the college for a research exchange. The meeting was chaired by Dean and Deputy Party Secretary NI Baoyu, with Deputy Dean and Deputy Party Secretary SUN Shili and other faculty representatives in attendance.

NI Baoyu extended a warm welcome to the KR delegation. He noted that the Korean Register has achieved remarkable accomplishments in the industry, and the geographical proximity between China and Korea provides added convenience for collaboration. He expressed hope that this exchange would deepen cooperation in software development, technical interoperability, and talent cultivation, promoting resource sharing and complementary advantages to jointly advance sustainable development in the industry.

NI Baoyu introduced the college’s general overview, scientific research, and international cooperation network.

LI Guangri provided an introduction to the Korean Register’s development history, business operations, technical services, and achievements in software development.

Following the discussions, KR presented the college with its independently developed analysis software, Sea Trust-HullScan and Sea Trust-Frame3D.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on software applications, indicating that they hope to strengthen technical cooperation and resource sharing in the future. They also agree to promote the complementary advantages of industry-university-research collaboration, explore the frontier areas of the industry, and drive innovations in the naval architecture and ocean engineering fields.

After the meeting, LI Guangri and the delegation visited the Harbin Military Engineering Institute Museum.
