Prof Aleksandr Korobin and senior researcher Takyana Khabakhpasheva of Math College, Eastern Anglia, U.K. were invited as Guest Profs of this college. The invitation ceremony was held in Sept. 19, college dean Xue Yan Zhuo, deputy director of faculty department and deputy head of personnel Li Rong Sheng were present.
Prof Korobin has 20 years scientific experience of theoretical and research in the areas of Fluid-structure Interaction, Ice-water Interaction Dynamics, with outstanding achievements, is widely acknowledged in the world, and was granted Weiblum Memorial Lectureship, the well-known award in the field of Ship Hydrodynamics.
Senior researcher Khabakhpasheva has rich research achievements in the field of Ice-water Dynamics, published many papers in high-leveled journals such as AOR, OE, JFS and JFM, involving water-elastic response on icy surface, impact on frozen surface, extra-large floating structure interaction with internal waves, etc.
In the three coming years, the two experts will conduct specialty supervision to the students, indepth research cooperation with some groups, strengthening cooperation in talent cultivation, and international joint scientific research, which would benefit to both institutions.
