Recently, Heilongjiang Science and Technology Awards Committee announced the results of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Award of 2019.

“Key Technology and Application of Prediction of Fluid Load and Motion Response of Deep-water Floating Platform in Harsh Sea District” directed by Prof. Zhao Binbin won the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award, and“Research on the Hydrodynamic Characteristics and Mechanism of Horizontal-axis Tidal Current Turbine” directed byAssociate Professor Liu Hengxu won the Second Prizeof NaturalScience.

In recent years, faculty members of our collegehave conscientiously implemented the spirit of the Fourth Party Congress ofHEU, and fully devoted to the scientific and technological work. Focusing on“Double First-Class” and “A+ Disciplinary Construction”, high-level scientific and technological innovation achievements have continuously emerged. Since 2016, the college has won twoFirst prizes, sixSecond prizes, and twoThird prizes of Science and Technology Award of Heilongjiang Province, which marks asignificant progress in quantity and quality over the Twelfth- Five-Year Plan.

Zhao Binbin,Doctor ofEngineering, professor,Doctoral supervisor. He mainly engages himselfin teaching and scientific research of marine and marine engineering hydrodynamics. He hasobtained the sponsorship for the first batch of“Young Talent Project” bytheChina Association for Science and Technology. Currently, he isdirector of threeresearchprojects of National Natural Science Foundation of China and the research projects of MIIT. Hehaswon the Second Prize of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Award (ranked the first place in the team), andhasobtained more than 10computersoftware copyrights as the first inventor. Hehaspublished more than 30academicpapers, including more than 10 SCI-indexed ones,has authored 1 academic monograph and 1 textbook.

Liu Hengxu, master supervisor, reviewer of SCI-indexed international journals such asOcean Engineering, peer communication review expert of National Natural Science Foundation and Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and member of Chinese Mechanical Society. He mainly engages himself in the research of marine and marine engineering hydrodynamics, fluid mechanics and new marine energy utilization technology. Hehas directed more than 10researchprojects ofthe National Natural Science Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. He won the Second PrizeofHeilongjiang Science and Technology Award (the first place) andthe Second Prize of CSNAME Science and TechnologyAward (the third place). Hehaspublished more than 50academicpapers, among which more than 20areSCI-indexed and Liu is the first author (orthefirst correspondent). Hehas obtainedmore than 10 patents forinvention and more than 10computersoftware copyrights as the first inventor. He is chief editor of the monograph Ocean Waves and Oscillations.
